The One Thing To Learn The First Year Of Marriage!

Congratulations on your first year of marriage! It's a big milestone and one that you should be proud of. As you look back on your first year, it's likely that you've learned many things about yourself, your partner, and your relationship. But, there's one thing that stands out above all else.

The one thing I learned in my first year of marriage is that I need to create my own marriage. That sounds strange, doesn't it? You might be thinking, "I thought I already had a marriage. I got married, didn't I?" But what I mean is that I need to actively work to create the marriage that I want.

In Proverbs 31:10-11, it says, "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value." This verse is a reminder that as a wife, I have the power to create a marriage that is worth far more than rubies.

But what does it mean to create my own marriage? It means that I need to take ownership of my role in the relationship. I need to actively work to build a strong foundation with my partner. I need to communicate effectively and be willing to compromise. I need to be a partner who is supportive, loving, and understanding.

Creating my own marriage also means being intentional in my actions. It means putting in the time and effort to build a strong relationship. It means being patient and understanding when things don't go as planned. It means being willing to forgive and move forward when there's conflict.

Creating my own marriage also means seeking God's guidance and wisdom.

In Ephesians 5:22-33, it says, "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."

This verse reminds me that my marriage is not just between my husband and I, but it is also between God and us. When we seek God's guidance and wisdom, we can create a marriage that is built on a solid foundation.

Creating my own marriage is not easy, but it is worth it. It takes time, effort, and patience. But, as you look back on your first year of marriage, you can be proud of the progress you've made in creating a strong, loving, and enduring relationship.

Remember, you have the power to create the marriage that you want, and with God's guidance, you can do it.
